From April 2026, Landlords and the Self-employed with a total business or property income above £50,000 per year will need to keep and maintain digital records and use HMRC-recognised software to manage, track and send updates to HMRC.
If this is you, then you must register and comply with MTD for ITSA, or apply for exemption, by this date. Once registered for MTD for ITSA, you are required to submit quarterly updates throughout the year, with an end-of-year declaration at the end of the tax year to settle your bill.
This is a big change for some. If you haven’t yet embraced the digital world, then getting ready for these changes is paramount to a more stress-free transition.
So, let's get started today! Moving to an MTD-compliant software may feel overwhelming, but we are here to support you on your MTD journey.
With our digital advisory services, we can help you step into the cloud and on the way to making those changes at a time that is convenient to you, and before it becomes too late.
