I joined JS as a trainee accountant at the age of 21, after achieving a first-class degree at Manchester Metropolitan University in Accounting and Finance. I felt joining a medium-sized practice to study the ACA qualification would enable me to gain valuable experience in many areas.
Despite joining the practice as an accounting graduate, I had very little work experience in the area. The training I received was outstanding and enabled me to progress to my current role as an Accounts & Audit Senior. I have always been part of the accounts team, which has given me vast exposure to many areas such as statutory accounts preparation, management accounts preparation, VAT, personal tax, corporation tax, and occasionally capital gains tax.
I wouldn’t be in the position I am today without all the support and guidance I have been given over the last few years. I have made life-long friends here at JS and can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
